Our Vision
To see the Spirit of God work through the people of God in such mighty ways that multitudes are saved, multitudes are baptized, and multitudes are growing closer and living more and more for Jesus.
Our Mission
In the Great Commission, the Lord commands us to "Make Disciples" — so that is our mission!
At Long Leaf Baptist, we want to strive to be disciples that make disciples!
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” — Matthew 28:19-20
Our Strategy
Loving…Teaching…Reaching
We are a church that strives to fulfill the Great Commission and the Great Commandment by being a people who are: Loving…Teaching…Reaching.
As we rely on the Lord for help in being a people who are Loving…Teaching…Reaching, our hope and prayer is that the Lord will help us to “Make Disciples” and guide us in our desire to see:
- Multitudes Saved
- Multitudes Baptized
- Multitudes Growing Closer to Jesus
Loving
The Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39)
37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
At Long Leaf Baptist, part of who we are is to be a Loving people.
- First and foremost, we strive to love the Lord with every fiber of our being.
- Secondly, we always remember to love others.
Teaching and Reaching
The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20)
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Jesus commands us to “Make Disciples.”
One way we do this is by being a Teaching people.
At Long Leaf Baptist, we strive to teach one another the truth of God’s Word. We do this through:
- Preaching
- Sunday School
- Bible studies
- Small groups
- Mentoring
- And finding any possible way to help one another grow in the Word.
We also fulfill the Lord’s command of making disciples by doing the “Go” part of the Great Commission.
That’s why at Long Leaf Baptist, we strive to be a Reaching people.
We want to be a people focused on reaching the lost. We must minister to our body of believers within the church, but we also must reach outside the church walls, proclaiming to this lost world the good news that Jesus Saves!
